PRODUCT OVERVIEW
The ESW PL 101 are UL 924 EXIT Signs which utilize the most advanced technology in photoluminescence to absorb ambient light and provide a highly visible egress marking, so building occupants can quickly and easily identify emergency exits when found in sudden darkness. These signs are an efficient, inexpensive way to eliminate the additional power consumption, high maintenance and liability issues associated with standardized EXIT signs. ESW-PL-101 EXIT signs are certified for use at a distance of 50 feet after 90 minutes of total darkness and can be utilized to replace conventional electrical or tritium exit signs. These Exit Signs are non-toxic and non radioactive making them environmentally friendly and completely safe to use anywhere. This unique innovation in signage is saving companies thousands of dollars annually in operational costs.
Prior to installation it must be determined that there is a minimum of 5 foot candles of fluorescent, metal halide or mercury vapor light on the face(s) of the sign at all times during building occupancy. According to the EPA, the average foot candles found in an office space is 50 foot candles.
The ESW-PL-101 sign has been tested and listed by Underwriters Laboratories Inc. in accordance with UL 924 and complies with Charges with LED, NFPA 101 Life Safety Code, NFPA 5000, JCAHO, OSHA , ICC - IBC, ICBO - UBC, BOCA - NBC, SBCCI - SBC, 1/UFC, CA Bldg. Code, New York Bldg. Code and ASTM 2072.
