Canadian Approved Exit Signs
All Exit Signs installed in Canada must be CSA approved and must adhere to Canada’s Energy Efficiency Regulations.
Power consumed by a CSA approved exit signs must not be greater than 5W per legend. In certain cases signs are allowed 5W in addition to the 5W per legend. An internally lit Canadian approved exit sign must have a verification mark stating that it has been approved and passes all energy performance testing. The Standards council of Canada (SCC) is the organization responsible for the verification mark on all CSA approved exit signs.
